O Cansaço dos Santos (The Tiredness of the Saints)

Created in 1992 at the invitation of the Companhia de Dança de Almada, Clara Andermatt continues to explore the most primal side of human emotions. A work with a strong symbolic charge, where ritualistic and religious icons are intersected by a powerful sexuality. O Cansaço dos Santos is a theatrical portrait of two characters in constant search — of themselves, of the other, and of the answers that elude them. A piece that endures to this day, frequently restaged by dance companies and schools.
