As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of Dançando com a Diferença, Clara Andermatt will lead a workshop entitled The Mechanism, a proposal that invites participants to explore the body as a system of interdependent relationships contributing to the construction of a collective organism.

The workshop will take place from 29 June to 3 July, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Dançando com a Diferença Studio, located at Armazém do Mercado, in Funchal.

We are a mechanism. Nothing functions in isolation: we are interdependent. Each body has its own function, timing and direction; it connects, supports and propels the whole. We refine the gesture. Precision becomes pleasurable, and we use repetition to bewitch memory. A compositional practice for beings open to infinity and impossibility.
